Michès Playa Esmeralda Dominican Republic

This was by far the best resort we have ever been to. The location is fabulous, the service was amazing, and the food was by far, the best we ever had in any resort. Coco Plum, the beach restaurant in the adult section, was amazing! The nightlife was mindblowing and there are a plethora of great activities to do for all ages. We are defenitly going back next year!

Our Club Med experience was wonderful! Despite a few hiccups, we were able to enjoy fully and completely disconnect and fully focus on time together and celebration.
We sincerely appreciated Theo, our Chef de Village. His presence was incredible all week long, he gifted us with a warm welcome, approachability and a big smile. He has a wonderfully personality that cascades down to each team and his energy to lead the Rhum Route will be cherished!
We also LOVED the talented Mini Club team, led by Flo. She was incredible at taking care of our family. What a wonderful and passionate human being, she was such a support during the whole week. Her team: Fanny, Captain Doudou, Monica, Cassidy, Iara, Nico, Luna, Morgane, and each GO of the mini were incredible at bringing fun and care to my kids.
Thank you to the sport team (Zoey, Amine, Aqua gym superman), the facilities and variety of equipment was top notch.
One area of opportunity would be the Cayuco main restaurant: food diversity + quality (lamb was too fat, octopus not cooked enough, creamy dessert need to be simpler and more tasteful). The restaurant need to pay more attention to tables being fully dressed with cushion on chairs, and faster service to table. It took sometimes too long to get settled. The food is not always warm, and it lacks food creativity overall.
Thankfully, we met Sasha, Abhi and LaRose who offered us wonderful experience at the Coco Plum, (with chef Lenny!). We all agreed that we had the BEST dorade we have ever eaten before. Then the Dom Rep barbecue on the beach was a feast with fresh coconuts and all types of delicious food, and lastly, on our last night, Larose prepared his mother's recipe of the Loup de Mer (white fish), which was absolutely incredible, and made us feel so special.

Little details go a long way. There was a lovely and singing gentleman picking up dead leaves around the pool, smiles and professionalism at the beach bar, GOs offering fresh fruit skewers on tray in the late morning. And delicious guacamole in the PM by the towel bar! LOVELY.

Club Med wouldn't be Club Med without a nice party. La route du Rhum was my favorite, perhaps because of the local flair. Jam was smiley and wonderful with the mic on stage, at all times. The White party was also bang on.

All in all, this club has a soul. It delivers on touching your heart and making your stay memorable. THANK YOU all for your dedication to us, GMs.

The location, the hotel, the people and the service are excellent. Without a doubt one of the best resorts in the Caribbean. Any other comment is only to fill the minimum 200 characters that TripAdvisor asks for.........................

Had a fantastic time. Second time there in three years and it didn’t disappoint. Staff were so much fun, especially chief or village, Johnny from archery and Victor in main dining room. Visited with two young adult kids and we all loved it. Just the right balance of relaxation, activities and party.

This was the 6th time I went to this Club. As always everything was wonderful. I was told the club was only about 1/2 full and it was over a Canadian Holiday. The only difference this time was that the visitors were primarily families with very young children. So night life was rather cut short.
But that didn't affect the service, food, and friendliness of every Club Rep. As a;ways Jhony who runs the archery at the club was the friendly, helpful and dedicated friend that remembers me. It was so good to see him and catch up! He is an amazing human! I'll be back!
