Kiroro Peak Japan

I have just finished the most wonderful 6 days of skiing at Club Med Kiroro Peak. I am 73 and have never even seen people skiing in real life! So i was a very old complete beginner. The group lessons would have been great when I was 40 but my fellow students in Beginners 1 were mostly braver than me so I splurged on 4 private lessons in the mornings. I am so glad I had this experience of feeling something of what it is like to glide down a slope on skis. I was very happy with my modest progress (putting skis in and off, falling and getting up, walking like a crab and a duck, controlling speed down a little slope, and steering. My tremendous enjoyment was down to my two brilliant, patient instructors, Ken and JJ. They are both gifted teachers who understood my needs and encouraged me all the way. Many many thanks. Also to Rachael, who organised the lessons for me.
Meanwhile, my other family members, all experienced skiers or snowboarders, were off enjoying lessons at their level (one family member is Club 6, which is the highest level) or just enjoying exploring the beautiful runs and powder.
I also enjoyed the ofuro and the onsen, the snow shoe walk, and the swimming pool at Club Med. Grand.
Club Med Kiroro Peak is perfect for families where everyone is over 12 and where younger members are happy to be in classes with adults. There are not many guests, so the facilities and the buffets aren't too busy.
All the staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful, as is usual at a Club Med.
One of my best ever holidays, and I have had many great holidays.

Michael was amazing, very helpful and really kind.He was always there to help us. Best events manager + cool snowboard instructor.

I went with my family. We stayed for one week. Everything was exceptional - the food - the bar - the people - the Michael.

Ling also makes an amazing hot chocolate and mocktails during my stay. Love her. Yaya was also so nice to us during our stay.

We stayed at Club Med Kiroro Peak in late Dec 2024 / early Jan 2025. Wow, what an experience! The staff are so friendly and went out of their way to make our holiday fun and memorable. The food is amazing. And the inclusion of ski lessons in the package make everything so easy.

We really enjoyed our ski lessons from Bryan (US), Soo (Korea), Monty (UK), Mersilla (Bosnia) and Yutaro (Japan). Alex and Kyle took great care of us at the bar. And a special thanks to Chef de Village, Tatiana (Malaysia), guest relations, Diana, and entertainment host, Michael (Australia)

Will definitely be going back!

We arrived in the morning and were greeted warmly by the GOs. They were so friendly and welcoming and insisted we took photos as a family to remember our time together.
We were accompanied by Bara to our rooms and a short tour to the ski room to orientate ourselves around the resort.
We immediately felt relaxed and at home and all the GOs we met n encountered in the subsequent days were always ready to assist and made us feel so important.
Indeed it was a 6 star experience to be acknowledged along the corridors, in the theatre, lounge n all around the resort.
We made friends with so many of the GOs and our teenagers had the most amazing time bonding, laughing singing, dancing, playing scrabble, chest, pool etc..
The 6 nights passed so quickly and we are so grateful we were blessed with amazing snow,
fabulous ski coaches and made great memories in the mountains.
The food supply was endless and we were never ever hungry. Food quality is generally very good, there were always the usual staples, my only comment is I would have liked a bit more variety for the Asian breakfast. Not a dealbreaker for me. 😀
Our rooms were tatami rooms and we were facing the slopes where the action was.
The amenities were complete and beds were super comfy. There were very thoughtful touches eg.. a cup noodle and a packet of potato farm, a snack, drinks in the mini bar which we never needed. 😆
Lastly, the entertainment was always fun and engaging and every night was different.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal times with all the GOs. and grateful we shared stories and laughs with so many of you : Yaya, Michael, Ling Kyle, Lucas, Bart, Elsa, ski coaches Jamie, Charlie, Collin and our gorgeous and amazing Chief de village : Tatiana!!
So many more amazing staff : sous chef, Vincent, best bartender Pang. Yutaro, ski director and “the baby”!
Thank you everyone for the most amazing time in Kiroro Peak. Thank you for making us feel so special. We left a piece of our hearts behind and took a piece of each of you back with us!
