Excellent skiing but the hotel is tired
We enjoyed our stay because of the skiing and our amazing instructor Serge, but we probably wouldn't go back to Club Med again for several reasons:
The organisation of the ski school groups was a complete shambles. I had specified our preferences before the holiday but that had all been changed when we arrived and no one seemed to know what was going on. Our children (10 and 7 who had skiied before) were put with the Ourson baby group and had a tedious morning standing around before we could move them. Also we missed the beginning of our lesson because we were trying to sort it out with no one available to ask. If Club Med had just kept the groups I had chosen all would have been fine.
The decor of the hotel is oppressive - all red and black - and looks dated and tired. Seating is uncomfortable, beds were hard and the baths took hours to fill.
The food was excellent in places but at breakfast in particular we were disappointed. It was hard to eat healthily - most mornings the only fruit available was grapefruit or tinned. No cooked mushrooms or tomatoes. Cold porridge. The coffee is from self-serve machines and was horrible.
It was very very busy - at lunch it was hard to find anywhere to sit to eat and we found the large numbers of people everywhere a bit much.

Overall fair value for money, but a few bits let them down
The resort is well positioned with ski in and ski out.
The resort has good facilities and the food choices are amazing!
The food is often cold.
The hotel is fairly cold.
There were a few things that needed repair in my room.
The reception staff don't know a lot about the ski lesson times etc, in fact they told us the wrong time to meet, it's good we checked.
Some things in the hotel were broken such as the pool table. We wasted money on games we couldn't finish.
The rooms are quite small. The beds are not very comfortable.
The design of the standard premium rooms is a bit strange in that when someone is in the bathroom area, you have to walk throuigh there to go in and out of the front door of the room.

Resort with breathtaking views
We arrived very early in the morning and the check-in by Ben and Angela was done so smoothly. Knowing we had travelled more than 16 hours, they did their best to have our rooms ready for us.
Service during meals in the restaurant was also really good and we are thankful for 2 of the executive chef who were able to help explain to my parents the vegetarian options available for them.
Staff at bar are very quick with service of the drinks and you don’t have to kept waiting long. Thanks to Itay for always accommodating to our orders.
Thank you to the staff from the chalet as they are very pleasant to chat with and enjoyed our meal times with them at the restaurant.
Boutique manager was also a very nice lady who is always smiling and greeting customers that come in and very helpful.
Ski instructors were very helpful for beginners but moves at a very fast pace and not everyone can keep up. But it’s truly good experience.
Only setback is most people speak French and may not understand English. Especially the bus service so best to speak to the driver first then they can advise on the alighting point.
Overall it’s a beautiful place that one must visit. Super calm and peaceful that makes you forget everything.
