Marrakech La Palmeraie Morocco

Wow what can we say… from beginning to end this was an amazing experience. First time visitors to a Club Med resort and will highly recommend it, for single, couples, families, young and old. From the time we stepped out of the shuttle to a friendly welcoming to Marrakech music and refreshing drink and explanation of our stay to our sad goodbye at the end of our holiday. The staff were amazing, friendly & professional at each and every encounter. We loved the way the staff interacted at meal times with you individually. A delicious and exceptional dinner at the El Kebir restaurant with special thanks to our waiter Hassan who was so professional and attentive to our every need. This is a must for people who enjoy sport activities, there is plentiful of every possible sport. Not to mention the fun evening entertainment by the one and only Club Med staff. The shuttle service to Le Madina on the hour daily was a win. It was very impressive to see the diversity of nationalities of the staff working at the resort. Our room was kept clean and well equipped daily and cared for my Fatima, thank you so much. Highly recommend this option for an amazing holiday to Marrakech.

We stayed at La Palmeraie for a week end of November with my husband and our daughter. It was an amazing week, exactly what we needed : 30 degrees while it snowed in Paris, great atmosphere and fun activities !

The chef du village was away but replaced by Aymen who we knew from Seychelles - what a pleasure to see him again with his amazing kindness, attention to details, his great leadership towards the GO team and the fun Club Med vibes he gives to the village !

We also want to thank Touria the amazing cook of the specialty restaurant who gave us great cooking classes and many tips / recipes to take home always with a smile. The specialty restaurant was also really good and the whole team was amazing there ! The buffet is a great option too with variety and quality.

We also want to thank Enzo, a great tennis coach really 100% recommend taking private lessons with him and Mehdi who was the nicest GO ever and so kind with kids, our daughter loved him!

we will definitely be back it is only a short flight from Paris but has everything you need (including Padel coming soon) for a good vacation week to recharge !

Very nice stay, the el Kebir team was lovely, kimo was extra friendly, always with a smile. The yoga, Pilate and Zumba session was the best. The performances in the evening was amazing, always so entertaining. Overall, recommend to stay here for a good time!

This was our first visit to a Club Med and we are already planning our next one. The concept clearly works, and this is a very, very good resort with so much to enjoy.
The resort is large and very well-designed with plenty to do and plenty of space to relax in. Someone has put great thought into the spacious design, with each space having a Moroccan feel to it. The place feels authentic, and yet is very clean, peaceful and luxurious. If you get involved in the activities, and eat well, it is also surprisingly good value.

We did go into Marrakech town a couple of times on the resort bus, but the resort itself is lovely to walk around. The gardening is amazing with plenty of olive trees getting their end of year prune, as well as the palms, grasses and even lines of strelitzia in flower by our interconnecting suites in the Kasbah area. It is kept really keen by the large number of staff, and we saw house buntings and bulbuls by our terrace. The (new) family oasis is fully planted too, with some thoughtful spacious seating areas as well as pool warm enough to enjoy in winter.

The whole place was really well-staffed for the time of year, with everyone no doubt getting ready for the French Christmas holiday rush. The Gentil Organisers are lovely and busy, our favourite being Kimo, who was thoroughly joyous throughout our stay. He made a special effort to make sure we were all enjoying ourselves after our language lesson with him, and he excelled on stage every evening. The activities are full of variety - Youssef’s instructive golf lessons were a highlight – the trapeze training and the yoga sessions looked to be very well run.

There is very high level of cuisine from a number of different cultures, as you might expect for a broadly French clientele. There is some great variety in the Palmeraie restaurant and we ate far too much as there were so many things we wanted to try including very high-quality grilled fish and meat. There are a number of areas to sit down to eat indoors and outdoors. We chose a blue/sapphire space most mornings and the lovely Atiq was our very kind area manager. The once-a-week afternoon outdoor garden party was a lovely idea, and we also really enjoyed our evening at the El Kebir restaurant, with possibly one of the tastiest tagines prepared in the local style but with much leaner lamb than in town. Birkan, Merve and Hassan really looked after us there and it was lovely to meet Mohamed, Omar, Abdelilah and the wonderful culinary team afterwards including a lovely lady who was at our morning cookery lesson too.

This resort is very child-friendly with one of the biggest and best resourced kids’ clubs I have seen. Yet it attracts people from all ages, including older couples, many of whom return year after year.

This was my best Club Med (further CM) experience so far. The people who work there make this place special. The atmosphere is much warmer than in European CMs.

I have never experienced in CM such good quality tennis. Special thanks to the coach Ashraf, who is not only highly motivated but can also easily switch between French and fluent English, which is crucial for me as a non-French speaker. If the CM wants to finally become more international, it needs more people like this, but this is still very rarely the case. In one of the golf courses, the instructor didn't speak English, so there wasn't much to learn... I took some private lessons with Ashraf and was very satisfied, he gives his best. A good professional and a great personality.

Meriam from Riad speaks perfect English and was always very helpful. People like she would help Riad to become more exclusive. Tariq speaks English and even German and participates in all the shows, impressive.

The quality of the food was okayish, but not Club Med standard 5 years ago.... The variety and quality of the food needs to be improved.
